Efthimios Moschopoulos, a dancer and choreographer from Cephalonia, Greece, and currently based in Athens, describes himself as a performer and creator exploring cycles of transformation, the relationship between the body and nature, and questions of identity.
He collaborates with choreographers and artists across Europe in the fields of dance, performance, and visual art. As part of his collaboration with Grand Luxe, he is undertaking a one-week residency at L'Abri–Geneva from 6 to 12 October 2025, during which he is developing FÁE. This project places the table at the centre of his research — a table as a meeting point, a bucolic confessional distilling both the tenderness and violence of the countryside, its solitude and the anxiety of its identity, its need for expression and the shaping of its sexuality. A table as a medium for sharing memories and references to food, dinner as a social practice.

During his residency at L’Abri–Geneva, Efthimios found new perspectives for FÁE, particularly by exploring the scenography and spatial aspects of the piece. The residency allowed him to work closely with his scenographer, Theo Triantafyllidis, and to draw inspiration from experiences in Geneva — from performances and hikes to farm visits and discovering the city. These moments nourished the creative process, bringing fresh energy and enriching the visual and emotional conception of the performance.

Grand Luxe Network ?

Launched in 2015 and supported by nine partner organisations, the Grand Luxe network pursues its mission of developing dance by offering a tailor-made support circuit for emerging choreographic creators and their projects. The network defines itself as a platform for artistic exchange dedicated to emerging choreographers who wish to develop new projects.

Its nine structures — Le Grand Studio in Brussels, Centre Chorégraphique National – Ballet de Lorraine, Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin – CCN de Mulhouse, Pôle Sud – Centre de Développement Chorégraphique National in Strasbourg, Trois C-L | Maison pour la danse, Theater Freiburg, L’Abri – Geneva, Onassis Air in Athens and CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva — have chosen to pool their expertise and teams in support of artistic projects from their respective regions that, at a specific moment in their development, require tailored and dedicated assistance.
By combining the resources of each member — workspaces, people, tools, outside perspectives, administrative support, guidance and mentoring, recordings, training — each support programme is devised. Unique of its kind, this network reinvents the spirit of “working together” by creating new modes of intervention beyond the usual production and distribution circuits.
